American audiences
Thrown was fantastic, brilliant and totally in control. If only the audience had some sort of certification to carry out their role! Having travelled from the UK to see Thrown, my annoyance and confusion grew as American audiences constantly seem to shout " Ya " or similar inane expletives for no obvious reason. They also stand up going mad with excitement at any trivial thing that happens on stage, such as the guitar technicians wandering in and out prior to the start of the show. What really riled was 'someone' directly to our rear threw his drink over the more volatile audience member two rows behind us, which made a bit of a mess of my jacket and my partner's new coat.
